Exploring research into domestic service

One of the rather unsung heroes of the history world is the Family and Community Historical Research Society (FACHRS), and membership gives you access to the entire back catalogue of the journal (Family & Community History) in digital form. In exploring that archive, I came across an edition (Vol 2, No 2, from 1999) on the theme of domestic service. It is packed full of interesting data, some of which I’ll explore below.
